Please, I don't want to think about it. My own mother is only 20 years my senior. When I was 20, she was 40 and was a very high energy breadwinner/mother/spouse who is also a complete ice queen to every guy who laid eyes on her. Let's just say that she was so sought after, that I would hear guys wanting to put their hands on her whether they'd be random strangers in the mall (both she and I worked retail back in the day) to male co-workers in the office literally talking about her (they would name the tiny boutique where she worked... not realizing I was the daughter of said woman in question). Some of the lesser people I've dated even admitted that they would rather be with my mom but spent time with me because I was the legal option.

And yes, she is now 55 and I still hear from random people wanting to put moves on her. She's one very old-fashioned, introverted lady who doesn't seek attention and pretty much dislikes any men aside from her own spouse and male family members.

It might have been worse. I once dated a Russian woman who told me her mother usually actively went after her daughter's current boyfriend, and usually had gotten her way.

Looking at the bright side, the competition in your case was not out to outshine you. :)

Oh lord... reminds me of that lame Maroon 5 music video... She Will Be Loved, I think it's called? Gah, can't stand the group in general.
And yes, I know such thing exists too. I know of someone who has a dating history of ending up being a boy-toy of one of his friend's mother. Not exactly something he's proud to admit to me, and thankfully he better have no intention of being with my mom or else!

And are you really sure for my case? There are times my mother back in the day dressed more provocatively than I did and even wore my clothes (borrowing wouldn't be as offending) without asking. My mom always say that having men going for her instead of for me (even if she has no interested in men) is for the best and that perhaps it's an indication that my taste in fashion is unsavory to the opposite gender.

I guess my point is that if my mom can get away with having her own fanclub in her 40s, I shouldn't be too far off. I can't complain about myself, I suppose since my dad had quite a few suitors when he was in his 40s too. So best of both worlds for me?

40-45 I'm surprised that there are that many older players. Ingame I have the impression that the majority is aroun 15 years. If that's the case, these forums aren't a good reflection of the players base. But it could well be that there are more older players than suspect.

I am not really surprised by this. After all computer gaming has been around for a few decades now. I started way back in 1978 :)

Sure a lot of younger people are playing. But the real enthusiasts for this type of entertainment have been at it for quite a while. Personally computers replaced TV for me over 10 years ago. I have neither cable or satellite. I have the net

Mind you most 15 year old players don't bother becoming regulars on the forums or using forums... unless they're really looking for trolling fun. Thank god this place doesn't sound like DA or 4chan.

    --MERGED--

Working aspect shouldn't change all that much for me. I would think it would become easier because I can get away with working longer hours without compromising my motherly duties (kids would be tweens/teens and would miss me less and be able to help out with domestic tasks more often) at home. I only feel my age or older because of the whack of OT I do (semi-annual banked OT hours > years of accrued sick time hours).

And yes, I horribly digressed last comment. You can tell I have bad mom issues.
