Start Preload failed..

Anyone facing this problem?

 

YUP! Im having the exact same problem!
And it´s got nothing to do with the internet, only the server is doing something wrong.
Actually, to me it looks like it can´t load the files properly.
Right now im deleting the DSOmap, maybe it helps. I suggest you try the same

I have tried using browser instead of the client. Much more better

 

I am having same problem.
After first download failure, I clicked "START PRELOAD" button again, and realized that another "drakensangonline.exe" starts running. (Confirmed in Task Manager)
If I click "START PRELOAD" button 3 times, 3 "drakensangonline.exe" modules are running ...
What a joke...

EDIT:
When I close DSO-client(thinclient.exe), "drakensangonline.exe" module keeps running by itself until you kill it manually.
(It seems like "drakensangonline.exe" is downloading game modules in background.)

After the first click on"START PRELOAD" button, even it fails, just leave DSO cLient as it is...
(Do not click "START PRELOAD" button multiple times)

Maybe it will finish downloading entire game module automatically.

 

Click it anyway. I had the same problem, and it eventually loaded the game (prob in about 5 to 10 minutes )

 

This is happening to me too (since Friday 19th Sept).

The same happens on 2 separate machines, in 2 separate physical networks/locations.
Both have an excellent broadband speed. Flushed the DNS, Reinstalled the client, and
tried all the usuall things support usually suggest.

Seems to be an issue with BP's server or the latest version of the client.. Have reported to support.

Apart from this the game still plays normally, albeit still laggy!

 

Like geccar, I wound up with multiple instances of drakensangonline.exe fighting each other (4 of them, in fact). After I killed them all, I re-started the preload, got the highly suspect "slow or unstable" message, and just let it sit there for a while, and eventually the preload completed.

Just another bug to throw on the bonfire. I'm playing other games now, I only log in for a few minutes each day to see the latest incarnation of this ongoing train wreck of a game. I always felt that the programmers at my company weren't very good, but the DSO team makes them look superb!

 

Unfortunately, I have the same problem. Already reported to support.

Did "support" ever get back to you about 1) why this is happeneing and 2) how to fix it if its not a problem on their end?

Same thing happens to me, how do you play the game in the browser at least? I just came across this game 3 days ago and been trying to get it to work since... no luck

 

Don't click the button when you see that message, just sit and wait and it will still complete even though you can't see any progress.

 

Preload still doesnt work properly. with normal computer no problemos but with all laptops (2) no no... before patch all my laptops said same thing than opener, before that my laptop just freezed in some point and now it's back in that freezing. you gotta have some sort of memory leak or something because my whole computer just stops. i cant even get my task manager open after that it's so bad. only thing that helps is shutdown by pressing power button for 4sec.

Bp it's just downloading files. how cannot you get even that right?

 

I have this problem as well as
"Game data download was successful. You can start playing whenever you like." but have a blank screen, any ideas?
